Farnaz Fatemi held a faculty appointment in the Writing Program of the University of California, Santa Cruz, from 1997–2018. For nearly twenty years she has consulted for a range of professionals including academics across disciplines. Since 2011 she has worked with Communications Development Inc (based in Washington, D.C.) to provide editorial feedback for tax professionals and others. Her earlier career included a decade in communications and investor relations, when she wrote shareholder reports, annual reports, and strategic plans for the telecommunications industry.
